Group SS501′s members Kim Hyun Joong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jun has had left their previous agency DSP Media ever since their contract with them expired. Admist which, remaining members Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng are said to be moving into new agencies as well.

A related personnel from DSP Media mentioned in a phone interview with TV Report,

“Heo Young Saeng and Kim Kyu Jong will be moving into new agencies as well. As to when and which agency they will be moving into, there are no concrete decisions made for now”.

In addition,

“All the members do not want SS501 to break up, despite each moving into various agencies, they will still maintain activities together. Though there are no official and confirmed decisions yet, in future when SS501 release albums or have concerts/events, DSP Media will be directly and indirectly participating in them”.

On the other hand, Kim Hyun Joong is shooting for his new MBC drama Playful Kiss, whilst Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jun are preparing for their acting career and overseas venturing.

{NEWS} ss501 Kim HyungJun signs w/ S-Plus Entertainment - 100827

K-pop idol group SS501 member Kim Hyung-joon has signed with actor Kang Ji-hwan's agency S-Plus Entertainment, making him the third member of the five-man band to join a new talenthouse.

S-Plus made the announcement through a press release on Friday, saying the firm

"will provide its unstinting support to Kim Hyung-joon so he may pursue his activities in all fields of entertainment including singing and acting beyond Asia."

Also, addressing constant rumor and speculation that his group will disband after each member goes their own ways, S-Plus stated that

"one thing to make most clear is that Kim's signing with the company does not at all mean a breakup of SS501."

S-Plus explained that being able to sustain his activities as a member of the band was one of the first issues Kim raised while negotiating on the contract.

"The company respects Kim's opinion 100 percent...... We will emphasize once again that Kim will first and foremost actively take part in his activities as a member of SS501."

The other members who have signed with new agencies -- Kim Hyun-joong with KEYEAST and Park Jung-min with CNR Media -- as well as their new reps, have all stated SS501 will not disband.

Top Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon is a major shareholder of KEYEAST and CNR Media is a firm set up jointly by major Taiwanese drama producer Comic-Ritz and Korea's ROY MEDIA.

Other members Heo Young-saeng and Kim Kyu-jong too have yet to make a decision.

SS501 has been one of the most popular bands in Korea and in several countries in Asia since forming in 2005. Their contract with DSP Media ended in early June.

[News] Due to Yang Yoseob's surgery, BEAST's comeback is pushed back

It has been revealed that Yang Yoseob, the lead vocal of BEAST, has gone through surgery to remove chronic rhinitis infections.

Due to this, the BEAST’s comeback that has been planned for the end of August has been pushed back.

Yang Yoseob has suffered from light rhinitis symptoms, but recently the situation had gotten worse that he had to go through surgery to remove the small infection in his nose. It was a hard decision because it was at a point they were preparing for the 3rd album, but because it could have affected his throat condition, the surgery couldn’t have been pushed back.

On the 24th, the management stated, “It was a simple surgery for Yang Yoseob, however since it could worry the fans we were hesistant on releasing the information about his surgery. However we couldn’t have the fans waiting especially with the comeback coming close.” They added, “We will try our best to help him get well through plenty of rest and relaxation.”

The BEAST members added, “If you wait longer, we will be able to make a comeback with even a better condition,” asking for support and cheer from the fans.

Meanwhile, BEAST members are showing off active activities in variety programs despite preparing for their next albums.

{NEWS} "My Girfriend Is A Gumiho" becomes most-watched show in CHINA

New Korean drama "My Girlfriend is Gumiho" starring Korea's most popular stars Lee Seung-gi and Shin Min-ah has become the most-watched show in China, according to the show's promoter IM Company on Thursday.

IM announced in a press release that the first two episodes of SBS series "Gumiho," which premiered locally on August 11, became the top show on China's PPS netTV [online TV streaming website] and on SOHU news.

The new Korean drama beat out a Japanese drama which was the previous No. 1 show on the website.

"Gumiho," a fantasy love story, is about Miho (played by Shin) who is a gumiho, a nine tailed fox that feeds on human livers, who was unleashed by Cha (played by Lee) after being imprisoned for 500 years.

The show was written by sisters Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mir-ran who previously wrote hit dramas "Minamishineyo" (SBS, 2009) and "Hong Gil-dong" (KBS, 2008).

It currently airs on the primetime slot on Wednesday and Thursday nights during the same hour as KBS' "Bread, Love and Dreams" and MBC's "Road No. 1."

{NEWS} Big Bang may release new album in October or November

Korean idols Big Bang may be making a comeback to the local music scene in October or November, according to their agency YG Entertainment on Friday.

An official from YG told 10Asia over the phone, "There are plans for the boys to release a new album but it is tentative -- it will depend on the progress of the album."

The last full-length album that the group released in the country was "REMEMBER," which featured their title track "Red Sunset," a remake of veteran singer Lee Moon-sae’s song, two years ago.

The five-member boy band, discovered and trained by major talenthouse YG Entertainment, is known as one of the biggest names in the Korean pop industry. They have released various hits such as "Dirty Cash," "With U," "Lies" and "Haru Haru."

Each member has branched out into individual projects with T.O.P starring in the war epic "71 Into the Fire" alongside Hallyu star Kwon Sang-woo and Cha Seung-won as well as appearing on the small screen for KBS drama “I Am Sam” and releasing his first solo album in June.

Member Daesung was a regular on the weekend variety program "Family Outing Season 1" with top Korean MC Yoo Jae-suk, while G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri focused on their solo music careers releasing albums and songs that have fared well on numerous online and offline music charts.

The group also successfully crossed over to the Japanese pop market in June of last year and went on to winning several awards at the MTV World Stage Video Music Awards Japan in this May.

They took the stage at the Summer Sonic Festival 2010 featuring the biggest names in the music industry, performing their Japanese hits "How Gee," "Number 1," "Tell Me Goodbye," "Koe Wo Kikasete (Let Me Hear Your Voice)," "Gara Gara Go!!" and new tunes “Hands Up” and “Beautiful Hangover” which will be released on August 25.
